LAURIE LAMPS TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. The lamps
Laurie lamps products are all custom made to your specifications so you will always get something unique and special to you. The lamp bases have been chosen by us or designed in collaboration with other designers or artists. Each piece is either made or finished by hand. Some of our products are vintage or antique pieces. They have had a life before their arrival at Laurie Lamps, therefore these objects may have additional character in the form of small imperfections. Not many get to 100 years old without a scratch or a wrinkle! ; )
2. Product information
We endeavour to display our products as accurately as possible within the website. However, from time to time, slight variations in colour and size may occur. We will also endeavour to ensure that the product information is kept as accurate as possible. However items are subject to availability and in the event that a product is not available, you will be informed as soon as possible following your order.
Prices on the Laurie Lamps website does not include VAT. Delivery charges will be allocated according to the product size and weight at checkout. Every effort is made to ensure the complete accuracy of our website however some prices or details may change from time to time and it is possible that error may occur. We will use our best efforts to rectify any errors as swiftly as possible but we cannot be held responsible for any losses incurred as a result.
4. The Shop (website) use
By entering Laurie Lamps (website) this implies acceptance of the following Terms and Conditions. The Laurie Lamps website is managed and operated by Laurie Lamps from our office in England and accordingly, the laws of England & Wales govern claims relating to it, including the use of the website and the materials contained within it. If you choose to access our website from outside of England and Wales you do so on your own initiative and you hereby agree that in the event of a dispute between yourself and Laurie Lamps, the laws of England and Wales will apply at all times. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of the website then you may not use it.
5. Website content.
All information contained on the website is provided with the upmost effort for accuracy, however neither the company nor its employees can be held liable for any inaccuracies or errors in the content contained in any part of the website.
First of all we give you our solemn promise that we will not sell or rent your personal details to anyone else. As you navigate our website we may ask you to provide personal details such as your name and email address. This will only happen when it enables us to provide a better service or experience to you. Examples of this are tracking orders, answering queries and reviewing past purchases so we can tailor any promotional content in line with your preferences.. If you opt-in to allow us to store your details on our customer database, this information will be held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We may use this data to contact you from time to time with offers from Laurie Lamps but we will not share your data with any third parties. If you no longer wish to receive these offers or be contacted by Laurie Lamps you can request for your personal details to be removed from our database at any time.
As indicated on the website, payment for Laurie Lamps goods is through certain credit and debit cards and via PayPal. Payments through the website are processed securely using advanced and up-to-date security-protected software. Your payment information is encrypted to ensure that it is fully protected and processed securely. Your payment details are not held by Laurie Lamps – they are held in an encrypted state by Stripe, a highly secure and widely recognised global payment provider.
9. Faulty goods
In the unlikely event that goods bought from Laurie Lamps are faulty or they arrive damaged (do you want to say this??), we will be happy to repair or replace the goods at no charge. If we are unable to repair the item we cannot guarantee that we will be able to provide you with a ‘like for like’ replacement, as our lamps are small batch so they may be out of stock. In this event we will endeavour to find you a similar replacement or offer you store credit. Faulty goods should be notified to Laurie Lamps within 3 days of arrival and returned to us within 14 days. The courier cost to return faulty goods will be covered by Laurie Lamps. It should be noted that our liability is limited to the purchase cost of the faulty goods and we will accept no responsibility for any costs that may be associated with their supply.
10. Lead time (7-10working days)
We aim to turn your order around as quickly as possible. Due to each item being made to order lead times are between 7-10 working days.
Delivery is free on all items. Items will be shipped on a 24 hour service on a Thursday for a Friday delivery.
12. Product returns
We hope that you are happy with your Laurie Lamp. However, if you decide to return your lamp, please notify us with in 14 days and return the item within 30 days of purchase. As each lamp is customised to your specifications we cannot offer a full refund however if the lamp is returned in its original packaging, undamaged and in working order we can offer you store credit to the amount of the original purchase. If the product returned is not in working order or it is damaged, we reserve the right to refuse store credit on the item. Returns will be charged accordingly.
